February 19th Teleparent MessageGood evening Computech community this is Mr. Ward calling with a weekly update about some of the important events and happenings going on around Computech for the week of February 22nd through February 24th.

As a reminder, there will be no school tomorrow, February 20th and Tuesday February 21st.

Parents I want to make you aware that quarter three progress reports will be coming home with students on Friday, February 24th. I would like to encourage you to take a moment with your child and evaluate their academic progress thus far in the new quarter and see where adjustments to study habits could be made.

Parents and students, our annual our “pennies for patients” drive which supports the Leukemia Lymphoma Society continues this week at Computech. Last year, Computech raised more than $6,000.00 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through our pennies for patients drive. We are hoping to have another banner year this year as well. We appreciate any and all donations, pennies or otherwise, that you can contribute towards this worthwhile cause.

I would like to congratulate the 2012 Computech Science Bowl team members for participating in this year’s Regional Science Bowl Challenge. This year, Computech fielded three teams in the challenge. Science Bowl Participants include Omar Ceja, Nick Jaramishian, Madeline Liao, Angel Rodriguez, Andres Rugama, Blake Evans, Alexis Gonzalez, Nestor Peraza, Nancy Ventura, Enrique Garcia, Kaitlyn Hall, Ralphie Maciel, Nancy Martinez and Isabelle Plumb.

The Computech Science Bowl team consisting of Omar Ceja, Nick Jaramishian, Madeline Liao, Angel Rodriguez and Andres Rugama placed first in the competition and will be representing Computech and the entire Central Valley Region at the National Science Bowl Competition in Washington DC later on this spring. Way to go tigers!

All right Computech community, that is all for this week. Thank you for tuning in every Sunday evening for updates about our school and thank you for being part of our school. Have a great night!
